Tucker Wood is a first-generation Auctioneer and Real Estate Broker who grew up going to auctions of all sorts - whether it be purebred livestock auctions, farm sales, or the local livestock auction barn. As much as he loved the auction it was the auctioneer that always drew him in.
He has been blessed to be able to turn his dream into a passion and pursue his career as an auctioneer while being named the Illinois State Reserve Champion Bid Caller. He carries an auction license in multiple states. Tucker has conducted many different types of sales from household estate sales to purebred livestock to retirement farm auctions. One of his dreams came true when he was given the opportunity to auctioneer the local livestock barn, he grew up going to. He has been lucky enough to work alongside some of the top auctioneers in their respected fields across the Midwest.
He is also a Designated Managing Broker in the State of Illinois and over the last few years has shifted his focus to farmland sales. He has conducted successful farmland auctions all over the Midwest. Tucker also has been able to achieve high success with traditional farmland listings. Tucker is an Accredited Land Consultant, a designation that only less than 1% of the licensed brokers in the state of Illinois hold. He is very active with the Realtors associations. Currently, he serves on the Board of Governors for the Central Illinois Board of Realtors, is an officer for the Illinois Chapter of the Realtors Land Institute and is on the Education Committee for the Realtors Land Institute.
Tucker is the fifth generation on the family farm where he works with his father. While the farm is predominantly row crops, they have a small cow herd and have recently added a purebred Southdown Sheep flock for his daughter. Tucker is very active in his community as he feels a person shouldn't complain about the way something is without first trying to help out themselves. He does many benefit auctions whether it be for the local 4-H or St. Mary's School or the local Shrine Club.
Tucker knows the importance of giving back and is honored to be able to do so. He is a past President of the Edgar County Shrine Club. During his year as President, the club was able to raise enough funds to send a donation of $100,000 to support Shriners Children's Hospitals. That is the largest donation to be sent to that point. Tucker is also a past board member of the Illinois Beef Association and has sat on many other boards throughout the years locally. While currently serving on multiple Realtor boards at a state and national level, he also is on the Edgar County Farm Bureau Board, the Paris Area Chamber of Commerce Board, and the membership committee for the Illinois Chapter of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. He is still a member of many local, state, and national organizations and is a member of the Redmon Christian Church.
